Route 28
When PennDOT began the process of redesigning Route 28 along the Allegheny River, Riverlife volunteered an alternate plan to limit the environmental impact to the hillsides, Troy Hill and the historic 31st Street Bridge. The new plan enhances the Allegheny River corridor, preserves the historic St. Nicholas Church and offers easier access to the river at the 31st Street Bridge—connecting people to the water.
